The Global Product Manager – Dodge Sensored Products is responsible for the development of sensored products for the MPT product portfolio. Overall activities include sensored technology hardware and software development and upgrades, commercial model and implementation and management of subscription services.
The position leads collaboration between MPT business functions and the ABB BU Digital Team, including the ABB Contact Center and Global Technical Support groups.
Manage the sensored product business segment for all Mechanical Power Transmission ( MPT ) including hardware development and the commercial model
Establish new MPT digitalization standards for all MPT products
Create new market for MPT digitalization products including: mounted bearings, enclosed gearing, and PT components.
As a member of the MPT Management Team develop Annual and Long Term Strategic Plans for products digitalization and integrate into Bulk Material Handling solutions
In conjunction with Marketing Communications, develop and implement sensored MPT products into Dodge programs, promotions and collateral to position Dodge to be the number one supplier in this category
Assist product managers to develop business plans that integrate sensored technology capabilities for new products in their categories
Evaluate competitive products, pricing, capabilities and technologies as well as other factors affecting the present and future status of the business.
Actively cooperate with BU Digital Leader with new product and service development and implementation
Develop sensored product training for field sales that focuses on the value add of sensor technologies to the MPT product portfolio
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering AND 10 years’ experience in Industrial Manufacturing, Sales or Marketing.
*A Master’s Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
*A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience
Bachelors’ degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Strong product line forecasting, data analysis and strategic planning.
Excellent and concise written and oral communications.
Strong organizational, follow-up and documentation skills.
Strong PC skills in the Microsoft office, especially Excel and Word.
Self-motivated, able to work on multiple projects at once.
Sound business judgment.
